Classrooms & Students from Around the World

November 13, 2012 |  by  |  Can You Believe It?

What a wonderful idea. Photographs of classrooms from other countries around the world. This project is the brain child of Julian Germain who has traveled from Brazil to Yemen to capture students in the class. And these pictures may not speak to you individually, but as a group it really shrinks the world down to a level we can all understand.

Julian began taking photographs when his daughter began taking classes at school. It was never his intention to make this project a book, but eventually he found that he as taking pictures from his travels as well. He kept the setup the same and made sure the teacher was never part of the photograph. It gives a good glimpse into the educational world of other nationalities.

All of these classroom photos can be found in the book Classroom Portraits, 2004-2012.
